Argon - Tig Gas

Argon is a non-flammable and non-toxic gas that’s widely used as a shielding agent during many industrial welding processes. Argon is commonly used for TIG and MIG welding, creating the weld with consumable and non-consumable electrodes.
The low ionising potential of Argon gas allows for the easy formation of a welding arc without a reaction with the metal components being welded.

Most common uses:

  • Tig Welding
  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welding for Aluminium and Stainless Steel
  • M.A and G.T.A welding materials
  • Used in wine storage
  • Inert atmospheres
  • Filler gas in incandescent and neon lamps
  • Plasma cutting (mixed with hydrogen)
  • Gas chromatography
  • Spectrometry
  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding
  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welding for Aluminium and Stainless Steel
  • Plasma cutting applications
